A growing construction company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to supervise and coordinate mechanical works at site. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with approved drawings, coordinating with subcontractors, and monitoring safety. Ideal candidates should hold a Mechanical Engineering degree and possess 1-3 years of experience in the construction industry. Strong site coordination skills and the ability to read construction drawings are essential. Knowledge of Chinese is advantageous for client coordination.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate mechanical works at site (HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing & Sanitary, ACMV, etc.)
• Ensure mechanical installations are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
• Attend site meetings, inspections and coordination meetings
• Monitor work progress, quality and safety compliance
• Prepare technical documents, site reports and as-built drawings

Job Requirements

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 1–3 years working experience in construction industry
• Familiar with mechanical systems installation and site coordination
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings
• Willing to be based at site in Sungai Siput / Perak
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision

Added Advantage

• Experience in M&E building services projects
• Ability to communicate in Chinese is an added advantage for coordination with Chinese-speaking clients
