Role Description

This position will undergo a structured training program over a period of 6–12 months. The first six (6) months will be primarily based at MSCI Kemaman to build a strong foundation in plant operations. Upon completion of this phase, the candidate will be rotated to the Chlor Alkali and PolyChem sites to gain operational exposure at the respective locations. Mechanical Engineer will support the execution of engineering projects across the organization by providing mechanical design, technical evaluation, site support, and project coordination. The role is part of a dedicated Project Team established to ensure efficient and timely delivery of new plants, expansions, and improvement projects.

Responsibilities
  • Support planning, design, installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment for assigned projects.
  • Review mechanical drawings, specifications, datasheets and technical documents to ensure compliance with engineering standards and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate with Process, Electrical, Instrumentation and Project Engineers to ensure integrated project execution.
  • Participate in equipment selection, vendor evaluation, technical clarification and inspection activities.
  • Provide site supervision during installation and commissioning phases to ensure work is carried out safely and according to design.
  • Support troubleshooting and problem‑solving related to mechanical equipment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
