About the role

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Designer/Tooling Engineer with strong experience in SolidWorks and hands‑on knowledge in metal manufacturing tooling. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing tooling, molds, jigs, and fixtures used across stamping, forging, and CNC machining processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create detailed 2D and 3D designs using SolidWorks.
  • Design stamping dies, forging molds, and related tooling components.
  • Design CNC lathe work‑holding solutions, pallet changer jigs, and machining fixtures.
  • Prepare engineering drawings with proper tolerances, GD&T, BOM, and material specifications.
  • Work closely with production and machining teams to ensure manufacturability and process efficiency.
  • Modify, improve, or troubleshoot existing tooling designs based on feedback from shop floor.
  • Maintain document control, revision updates, and design libraries.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proficient in SolidWorks (parts, assemblies, drawings, configurations).
  • Experience with CNC machining process, especially CNC lathe jigs, fixtures, and pallet changer systems.
  • Familiar with GD&T, tolerance stack‑up, and machining allowances.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing requirements.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and practical understanding of workshop processes.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
  • Knowledge of heat treatment, material selection, and tool steel grades.
  • Experience in production troubleshooting and cost optimization of tooling.
