Job description

Ichor Systems has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer, located in Sauk Rapids, MN. Reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering, the Mechanical Engineer will design, develop, and test mechanical equipment and systems to meet customer specifications in a precision machining environment.

Specific Job Duties:

  • Design products to support customer specifications in a precision machining environment.
  • Use computer-assisted design (CAD) software (SolidWorks preferred) to create preliminary and detailed drawings.
  • Produce specifications for products and select raw materials and components for production.
  • Build prototypes and conduct testing to validate designs.
  • Analyze test data and compare results with similar designs.
  • Develop control systems and monitor production processes.
  • Prepare engineering documentation, including bills of materials, schematics, design calculations, mechanical drawings, and technical reports.
  • Research and analyze customer requirements, specifications, and manuals to determine design feasibility.
  • Design test equipment and develop methods and procedures for product/system testing.
  • Assist in resolving customer issues related to Ichor-designed products.
  • Support generation of technical information for sales literature and application inquiries.
  • Communicate effectively with Engineering Department personnel to ensure a collaborative work environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).

    Skills:
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.

  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word; MS Project experience preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Ultra High Purity fluid delivery systems or similar industries is a plus.
  • Experience with the product development cycle.

The pay range for this position is 75,000-98,000 per year.

Within the range, individual pay is based on work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
