Mechanic Supervisor/ Workshop Coordinator - Heavy Machinery
Advancecon Machinery Sdn Bhd is the equipment and plant management arm of Advancecon Group Bhd, with over 30 years of construction industry experience. It plays a critical role in supporting large-scale infrastructure, earthworks, and civil engineering projects across Malaysia. The division manages a wide fleet of heavy machinery, including:
- Excavators
- Bulldozers
- Rollers
- Dump trucks
- Loaders and support equipment
📍Location: Ijok, Kuala Selangor
Key Responsibilities
- Cost & Budget Control
- Manage repair, maintenance, and overhaul (R&M) expenditure within the approved annual budget.
- Monitor costs closely and recommend cost-effective solutions without compromising equipment reliability.
- Preventive & Periodic Maintenance
- Ensure timely execution of scheduled maintenance for all equipment.
- Improve machine uptime through durability, reliability, and preventive maintenance strategies.
- Repair Turnaround & Responsiveness
- Ensure component repair turnaround of less than 14 days.
- Full equipment repair completion within 2.5 months, subject to parts availability.
- Achieve >80% response rate within 48 hours for site requests (excluding public holidays and rest days), including coordination with supplier and repairer panels.
- Team Leadership & Engagement
- Conduct weekly dialogues with team members to promote teamwork, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and performance-driven work culture.
- Parts & Inventory Management
- Recommend and manage optimal spare parts stocking levels for component overhauls.
- Balance speedy repair response with efficient inventory control.
- Contract & Vendor Management
- Ensure timely equipment repair under Annual Repair & Maintenance Contracts.
- Enforce contractual terms and apply penalty clauses where applicable.
- Ad-Hoc Duties
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by Management, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Job Requirement
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
- Min 5 years of experience in equipment repair and maintenance with a minimum of 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Good knowledge of Equipment/ Heavy Machinery.
- Familiar with equipment structures and functions to enhance equipment uptime.
