Job summary

A dynamic supply chain company in Malaysia is looking for a Material Planner to oversee material flow and ensure production requirements are met on time. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in material planning and inventory control, along with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Job description

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling material flow to ensure production requirements are met on time.
• Plan and schedule material requirements based on production plans and sales forecasts.
• Monitor to ensure timely replenishment of materials.
• Track incoming materials and follow up with suppliers to avoid delays or stockouts.
• Maintain accurate material master data, including minimum stock levels and lead times.
• Analyse inventory levels and prepare reports for slow-moving, obsolete, or excess materials.
• Work closely with Warehouse to ensure accurate stock counts and efficient material flow.
• Communicate material risks, shortages, or supply issues to the Production.
• Participate in cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
• To undertake any task as and when required.

Requirements

• Possess Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of working experiences in material planning, inventory control, or related roles.
• Highly organized and attention to detail.
• Possess strong communication and presentation skills with good command of written and spoken English.
