Job Description

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Material Handler manages inbound / outbound materials, verifies shipments, transports inventory, handles waste and maintains documentation to support plant operations.

SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries.
  • Labelling every product and placing them accordingly.
  • Identifying and locating the right products during the delivery process.
  • Keeping a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory.
  • Handling returns by completing technical documentation and other required communication.
  • Keeping all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance.
  • Conveying purchasing requirements and keeping data on the availability of products in short supply.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to locate missing packages, fix incorrect deliveries and replace damaged products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and compliance with safety and quality standard.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities related to production efficiency and quality.
  • Other duties as required.

You are authorised to act within the jurisdiction and capacity in your job scope to deliver the results/output expected of your job function.

Qualifications

Education:

  • SPM or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Fresh / minimum 1 year experience in a similar role in warehouse.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Minimal prior experience in the role; training will be provided.
  • Grasps general concepts of the position, with exposure to some detailed aspects.
  • Basic competency with opportunities to build expertise through experience.
