Main Purpose of Position:
The Senior Marketing Manager – Food will lead the marketing and commercial strategy for the company’s food portfolio, driving brand growth and market presence across key channels.
Main Responsibilities:
Market & Portfolio Strategy
- Develop and implement strategic marketing plans for the food ingredients portfolio, aligned with corporate objectives and production capabilities.
- Define product positioning and value propositions highlighting functionality, quality, and regulatory compliance for diverse food applications.
- Oversee product lifecycle management, including opportunity assessment, innovation pipeline, new launches, and optimization of mature SKUs.
Commercial & Customer Development
- Partner with regional sales and technical teams to translate marketing strategy into actionable customer programs and industry-specific initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key food manufacturers, distributors, and formulation partners to drive volume and margin growth.
- Align pricing structures and promotional strategies with market dynamics, cost models, and customer requirements to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
Market Intelligence & Innovation
- Track global trends in food ingredients, including regulatory updates, sustainability demands, and competitive activity.
- Convert market and consumer insights into recommendations for new product development and value-added solutions.
- Prepare regular market performance reports and opportunity analyses for senior management.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the single point of contact for all marketing initiatives in the Food Division, coordinating with R&D, supply chain, production, and finance.
- Manage end-to-end execution of marketing projects—concept, feasibility, launch, and post-launch evaluation—while tracking budgets and ROI.
- Work with external agencies, industry bodies, and trade associations to enhance brand visibility and market reach.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Marketing, or a related discipline; MBA is a plus.
- 10+ years of B2B marketing or commercial experience, with at least 5 years in the food ingredients, food manufacturing, or related FMCG/industrial sectors.
- Experience in Food Esters or Emulsifiers will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated success in marketing strategy, sales support, pricing management, and market research within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to balance growth objectives with profitability targets.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills, with a track record of driving cross-functional collaboration across R&D, supply chain, and sales.
- Ability to operate as a self-starter and deliver results independently while coordinating multiple projects and stakeholders.
