The Marketing Executive (Generalist) is responsible for supporting and executing end-to-end marketing activities to strengthen brand presence, increase customer engagement, and drive sales across SpectacleX M Sdn Bhd’s retail outlets and digital platforms. This role requires a hands‑on marketer who can manage multiple marketing functions, including digital marketing, content creation, retail promotions, branding, and coordination with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Planning & Campaign Execution
- Assist in planning and executing monthly and seasonal marketing campaigns aligned with company objectives
- Coordinate marketing calendars, promotions, and product launches across all outlets
- Support execution of festive campaigns, sales promotions, and new store openings
- Ensure timely delivery of marketing initiatives within budget and deadlines
- Manage and maintain company social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, XHS, etc.)
- Plan content calendars including posts, stories, reels, and short‑form videos
- Write basic marketing copy for social media, captions, ads, and promotional materials
- Assist in managing paid advertising campaigns (Meta Ads, Google Ads, etc.) with guidance
- Monitor digital performance metrics (reach, engagement, leads, conversions) and prepare reports
- Support website updates such as promotions, banners, and basic content updates
Content Creation & Branding
- Create simple visual content using tools such as Canva (posters, banners, flyers, digital ads)
- Work with designers, photographers, or videographers when required
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials, outlets, and platforms
- Support brand storytelling and positioning to reflect SpectacleX’s identity
Retail & In-Store Marketing
- Coordinate in‑store visual merchandising and promotional displays
- Prepare and distribute POS materials to outlets (price tags, posters, standees, flyers)
- Work closely with outlet managers to execute promotions effectively
- Collect feedback from stores to improve marketing execution
Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct basic market and competitor research (pricing, promotions, campaigns, trends)
- Track customer trends and preferences in the optical retail market
- Compile insights and suggestions to improve marketing strategies
- Liaise with external vendors such as printers, designers, influencers, and marketing agencies
- Assist in sourcing quotations, managing timelines, and ensuring quality deliverables
- Coordinate influencer or KOL collaborations when applicable
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare regular marketing performance reports and summaries
- Maintain marketing documentation, campaign records, and asset libraries
- Support budget tracking and cost control for marketing activities
Ad-Hoc & Team Support
- Support management and team members on marketing‑related tasks
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas
- Perform other marketing or administrative duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Education
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Mass Media, or related fields
Experience
- 1–3 years of marketing experience preferred
- Fresh graduates with relevant internship or project experience are welcome to apply
Skills & Knowledge
- Basic understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms
- Familiarity with content creation and simple design tools (e.g. Canva)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic data analysis and reporting skills
- Knowledge of retail or optical industry is an added advantage
