A leading chemical company in Johor Bahru is seeking a Product Development Coordinator to assist in project management and market research. The role involves coordinating tasks across various departments, ensuring deadlines are met, and preparing reports on product development status. Candidates should hold a diploma or bachelor's degree in relevant fields and possess 1-3 years of experience, along with strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, and English is essential.
Follow up on project progress based on the internal Product Development Gantt Chart.
Ensure all departments (Sales, Marketing, R&D, Purchasing, QC, PE, and Production) meet their assigned tasks and deadlines.
Track and report development status and highlight any delays or issues for management review.
Conduct market research and benchmarking for new product ideas.
Coordinate product evaluation samples with the sales team for customer feedback.
Support packaging artwork finalization and preparation of marketing materials (catalogues, leaflets, social media postings, videos, etc.).
Assist in setting up product launch plans and promotional packages based on market performance.
Maintain complete documentation for each project, including formulation progress, material sourcing, packaging confirmation, and testing reports.
Coordinate with purchasing on material lead times, costing, and MOQ confirmation.
Prepare internal reports and presentations on product development status.
Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in product development coordination, marketing, or project management (manufacturing experience is an advantage).
Good organizational and multitasking skills with good follow-up discipline.
Good communication and teamwork skills to liaise across departments.
An analytical mindset with an interest in doing market research and interpreting data.
Good command in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia and English. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); knowledge in Gantt Chart tracking is an added advantage.
