About the role

The Marketing Designer Executive will report directly to the General Manager and will play a key role in supporting the Group’s overall branding and marketing effort. We are looking for a highly organized, creative and proactive individual to manage the design and marketing functions.

You will work closely with the General Manager to design branding and marketing collaterals, manage corporate website and build and enhance the company's presence in social media such as LinkedIn and Instagram.

This position is a hybrid work arrangement. You will be primarily working‑from‑home, but will be required to report to the office when the General Manager is in Kuala Lumpur. You may be required to travel locally and overseas for photo/video taking of events and projects.

This role is on a one‑year contract basis and renewed annually. Contract staff are entitled to the same benefits as permanent staff.

Scope of Work
1. Website, Social Media & Content Creation for the Group
  • Manage and update company websites.
  • Develop and maintain monthly content calendars (LinkedIn, Instagram, and others as needed).
  • Create high‑quality photo and video content: project shots, team moments, behind‑the‑scenes, events, etc.
  • Film and edit short‑form videos (Reels/TikTok) – including basic transitions, captions, and simple effects.
  • Write engaging captions and copy that match the brand’s tone of voice.
  • Schedule and publish posts; monitor comments, messages and reviews, and elevate where necessary.
2. Graphic Design, Photo and Video Taking & Marketing Collateral
  • Design online and offline collaterals including social media visuals, posters, brochures, fact sheets, digital greetings, static visuals, motion graphics, short‑form videos, animations, and marketing PowerPoint presentations.
  • Work primarily with Canva and Affinity Designer, Affinity Photo, Affinity Publisher. Familiarity with video taking/editing and SketchUp is a plus.
  • Take photo and video of projects and events.
  • Ensure all visuals are on‑brand and consistent.
  • Organise and maintain marketing assets (photo/video libraries, boilerplates, pitch decks).
3. Branding, Internal Communications and Client Relationship Management
  • Develop brand guidelines.
  • Create content for corporate communications, employer branding, and internal marketing materials.
  • Prepare festive season gift lists and gifts.
  • Reach out to potential clients to arrange meetings.
4. Performance Tracking & Reporting
  • Track basic performance metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth, post performance, campaign results).
  • Provide simple monthly reports with learnings and suggestions for improvement.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–3 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or content creation.
  • Proven ability to shoot and edit photos and videos (even with a phone, as long as quality is strong).
  • Comfortable using tools such as Canva (must have), Affinity Designer, Affinity Photo, Affinity Publisher, and SketchUp – an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of LinkedIn and Instagram – especially what works for Reels and short‑form content.
  • Good command of English; Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Organised, able to handle multiple brands and deadlines at once.
  • Willing to work some evenings and weekends for events, launches, or content shoots when needed.
  • Highly disciplined and able to work remotely via Teamviewer and Zoom.
