Job description

The Manufacturing Technician and Technician roles support semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) operations by ensuring equipment reliability, production efficiency, and consistent quality. These roles involve operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting production machines while upholding safety, cleanliness, and process compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Execute daily production plans to achieve output, yield, and quality targets.
• Perform equipment setup, conversion, and basic troubleshooting to support smooth operations.
• Ensure correct material handling and accurate production data recording in MES or log sheets.
• Carry out scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Diagnose machine issues, identify root causes, and assist in corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Support improvements in equipment performance and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Conduct in-process inspections and measurements to verify product conformance.
• Escalate process or quality abnormalities promptly to supervisors or engineers.
• Support defect prevention, waste reduction, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Comply with all cleanroom, ESD, and safety procedures.
• Maintain workstation cleanliness and organization according to 5S standards.
• Report unsafe conditions or near misses immediately.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to improve production performance.
• Participate in skill certification and cross-training programs.
• Support any other duties assigned by the immediate superior.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Electrical & Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• SPM holders with relevant semiconductor manufacturing experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Preferably 3–5 years of experience in semiconductor, electronics, or high-volume manufacturing.
• Hands‑on experience in machine operation, setup, or troubleshooting is an advantage.
• Willing and able to work on rotational shifts.
• Open to being based in Ipoh (S‑Site, Jelapang).
