Job summary

A leading connectivity solutions provider in Penang is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support product assembly processes, perform equipment evaluations, and conduct maintenance and repairs. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and at least 2 years of experience. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment failures, doing preventative maintenance to minimize downtime, and training junior technicians as needed. A valid driver's license and the ability to work independently are required.

Qualifications

• 2 or more years of related work experience.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to lift and carry 25 kg frequently.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and analyze unique problems with equipment.

• Train lower level Maintenance Techs on troubleshooting techniques.

Job description

Supports assembly of various products per established facility processes including set‑up, calibration, testing, maintenance, and production operation.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and/or analyze unique problems that are new to equipment.
• Perform predictive maintenance by analyzing routine failures and determining adjustments and repairs that need to be made.
• Perform training as needed to lower level Maintenance Techs on troubleshooting and repair techniques utilized with equipment.
• Perform specified preventative maintenance on production equipment to prevent equipment downtime.
• Monitor equipment operations to ensure proper usage.
• Construct and/or assemble new equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and repair as needed.
• Work from blueprints, manuals, sketches, and verbal instructions.
• Help repair hydraulic, pneumatic and electromechanical systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned or necessary to meet business conditions or changes.
• Adhere to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards.
