Job summary

A leading medical technology company in Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to work on equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and improvements. The ideal candidate should have a Diploma in Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Key responsibilities include designing and qualifying equipment, managing spare parts, and collaborating with engineers to enhance production methods. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth manufacturing processes and improving overall efficiency.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of working experience in a related field.
  • Need equipment or tester troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with tester PM is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Work on electronic troubleshooting and PLC programming.
  • Maintain inventory for key maintenance items to minimize downtime.
  • Assist in investigating and implementing new production methods.

Job description

Part of core team to respond to equipment, yield and process related issues, implement corrective and preventative actions to eliminate repeat instances.

Key Responsibilities

Work with Manufacturing Engineers in developing, trouble shooting, standardizing and improving existing production methods and procedures.

Work on Electronic troubleshooting, PLC. programming, electronic hardware interfacing.

Maintain a critical spares inventory for key maintenance items to minimise downtime.

Assist ME’s in investigating and implementing new production methods.

Assist ME’s in design methods, part sourcing and documentation.

Perform equipment qualifications and validations, including report writing etc.

Design, specify, manufacture, test and document production equipment, changes and improvements.

Interface with a variety of BSIL personnel and with outside vendors when necessary while performing the above.

Take responsibility for preventative maintenance procedures with an assigned process or area.

Communicates any concerns about work process regarding environmental impact, health or safety issues to their manager.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Others), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical) or equivalent.

Required skill(s): equipment maintenance, equipment qualification, critical thinking, Problem Solving.

At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Need equipment or tester troubleshooting skills. Having worked on tester PM will add an advantage. Electronic knowledge is a must
