Manufacturing Technician (Assembly)

Job summary

A technology company in Penang is seeking a skilled individual to assemble and set up semiconductor equipment. The role requires a diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering and at least one year of relevant experience. Responsibilities include performing mechanical troubleshooting, supporting daily operations, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The successful candidate should be proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel and be able to work shifts. Strong knowledge of wire harness manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering with at least 1 year of experience.
• Equipment system build knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of wire harness manufacturing processes and materials.
• Experience with wire harness testing and validation.
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• Able to read and understand English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Able to work on shifts.

• Perform mechanical skills including troubleshooting and repair of equipment system.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions, and work orders.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
• Detect faulty operations and report unusual situations.
• Support engineers in reducing cycle time and quality improvement projects.
• Perform daily 5S housekeeping of production area.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean work areas.

• Supporting daily production operation
• Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of equipment system.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, assembly instruction and work orders to perform required assembly jobs.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Supporting engineers in reduce cycle time and quality improvement project
• Perform daily 5S housekeeping of production area
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
