A leading manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced individual to lead daily manufacturing operations and ensure the achievement of targets related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity (SQDCP). The role involves planning manpower and resources, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with quality systems. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and relevant experience in a supervisory role, with strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and leadership skills.
Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity (SQDCP) targets.
Plan, organize, and control manpower, machines, and materials to meet production schedules.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Kaizen, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
Monitor and improve yield, OEE, cycle time, scrap, and rework rates.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for major production, quality, and equipment issues using tools such as 8D, RCA, FMEA.
Ensure compliance with quality systems (ISO / IATF), internal procedures, and customer requirements.
Develop, coach, and evaluate engineers, supervisors, and operators within the section.
Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Supply Chain, EHS, and IT teams to ensure smooth operations.
Support new product or process introduction, production ramp-up, and equipment qualification activities.
Ensure adherence to EHS policies, promote a strong safety culture, and maintain a disciplined shop floor environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
5–10 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or section head role.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production control, and shop floor management.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement projects.
Familiar with quality management systems such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or equivalent.
Hands‑on experience in problem‑solving tools (8D, RCA, FMEA, SPC).
Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic manufacturing systems (ERP/MES is an advantage).
Good verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin‑speaking clients.
