Job summary

A leading plastic packaging manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Manager (Plastic Injection & Automation) in Malacca City, Malaysia. The role requires a technically strong leader actively involved in production with a focus on achieving manufacturing targets in quality, cost, delivery, and productivity. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in Engineering or Science, and 5-7 years of experience in plastic manufacturing. Knowledge of ISO standards is preferred. This position offers the chance to develop and lead a high-performing team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in a plastic manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in cleanroom environment is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, and OSH systems.

Job Description

The Manufacturing Manager (Plastic Injection & Automation) will responsible to lead and manage the manufacturing operations. This role requires a technically strong leader who is actively involved on the production floor, with proven experience in plastic injection molding, automation systems, and machine troubleshooting. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving manufacturing targets in quality, cost, delivery, productivity, and compliance, while developing and leading a high-performing team.

Job Requirement

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years of working experience in a plastic manufacturing environment, with exposure to both management and hands-on technical roles. Experienced in cleanroom environment is an added advantage.
  • Strong experience in plastic injection molding operations, molds, and automation systems.
  • Proven background in machine and plant maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, and OSH systems.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with production reporting systems.
