Manufacturing Manager (ICM Product, Manual Line)

As a Manufacturing Manager, you will lead the production and engineering functions for the ICM product line, operating on a manual assembly line. This role is essential for establishing new manufacturing lines, integrating advanced technologies such as SMT, dispensing systems, and functional testers, and ensuring seamless collaboration between production and engineering teams to drive quality, efficiency, and performance.

Our Team

You will be part of the Manual Assembly department, collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams including Product Development, Quality, Planning, Supply Chain, and Engineering. The team is focused on delivering high‑quality manufacturing output while driving continuous improvement and innovation in manual assembly processes.

What You Will Do
Production Management

Lead day‑to‑day operations of the ICM manual assembly line to meet production targets, delivery schedules, and quality standards.

Monitor production KPIs including output, yield, OEE, and cycle time, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure adherence to safety, 5S, and lean manufacturing principles on the shop floor.

Manage manpower planning, training, and performance of production operators and supervisors.

Oversee process engineering activities including line balancing, layout design, and process optimization.

Drive NPI readiness by coordinating with PD, quality, and project teams to ensure smooth product transitions to mass production.

Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies including SMT, dispensing machines, functional testers, and other semi‑automated solutions.

Own the documentation and validation of manufacturing processes, work instructions, PFMEA, and control plans.

Project & Equipment Setup

Lead new line setup projects, including equipment installation, commissioning, and process validation.

Manage capital expenditure projects for new equipment, ensuring timeline, budget, and ROI objectives are met.

Liaise with global or regional engineering teams for equipment benchmarking and best practice sharing.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Quality, Planning, Supply Chain, and Product Management to ensure production goals are met efficiently and cost‑effectively.

Support quality improvement efforts, customer audits, and root cause analysis for production issues.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related).
  • Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of manual assembly processes, SMT, dispensing, and testing equipment.
  • Proven experience in new line setup, process engineering, and cross‑functional project leadership.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and problem‑solving methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and management skills.
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience in ICM or electronics‑related products.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of MES systems and digital production tools.
  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.

Experience in high‑mix, low‑to‑medium volume production is an added advantage.
