Job summary

A leading logistics company in Malaysia is seeking a Transportation Logistics Manager. This role involves managing a team and ensuring efficient transport operations by designing competitive solutions and sources suitable vendors. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in transportation or business development, strong communication skills, and a relevant degree or diploma. Position includes responsibility for managing budgets and optimizing expenses to achieve business objectives.

Job description

Responsible to attend the RFQ/ RFP session with the Business Development team in understanding customer Transportation requirements

Responsible to source for transport vendors that are suitable for new and existing businesses with high level of service commitment, competitive costing and with the right solutions

Responsible to design the right solutions for customers to win business

Responsible to quote competitive and profitable rates to customers by understanding the market intelligence, customers and competitors’ information

Responsible for managing a team of transportation personnel, assigning tasks, and ensuring that they are performing their duties efficiently. Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally

To work closely with other departments, such as Business Development, Solutions Design, TMS operations, Procurement, and customers to ensure smooth coordination and efficient transportation operations solutions

Hiring, training, motivating, and coaching employees as they provide attentive, efficient service to customers, assessing employee performance, and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities. Design strategy and set goals for staff growth. Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations

Establishing and achieving business and profit objectives. Maintain budgets and optimize expenses

Job Requirements

Minimum 5 years' experience in transportation logistics operations/ business development/ sales related role.

Must be well verse in handling RFQ/RFP before and tenders.

Good communications skills especially in handling customer

Degree or Diploma holder in related field

Candidate must be focus on transport commercial task.

Must be willing to work in Section 26, shah alam.
