A leading Malaysian water management company in Kuala Lumpur seeks a strategic planner to coordinate business planning processes and implement strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of experience in corporate planning. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are essential. Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English is required. This role involves working closely with key stakeholders to achieve business objectives and support corporate governance.
Coordinate the overall business planning process for development of the Company’s Business Plan, including support in the review and revision of Business Plans when necessary.
Conduct needs identification, goals formulation and strategic mapping of plans as to how the strategic objectives will be accomplished. Assist CCO or SM, Corporate Planning on liaison with key stakeholders to foster alignment to ensure strategies are translated in action plans.
Conduct environmental scanning and industry benchmark for both domestic and international markets across various business activities to support tactical planning and action plans.
Organize annual Business Planning Brainstorming sessions to develop and review the Business Plan, taking into account changes in operating environment. This includes conducting scenario planning to evaluate potential outcomes, anticipate possible eventualities and test new ideas.
Review and monitor the implementation of the strategies and action plans in the Business Plan.
Prepare Board Papers for the Board of Director’s meetings.
Implement the Company’s strategic planning initiatives.
Define and develop key performance criteria for tracking success of strategies e.g. new customers/businesses, growth, costs etc.
Assist in updating the financial business model and carry out data analytics or data mining to support strategic planning and decision making.
Support the development of Corporate KPI and review Head of Departments KPI.
Prepare letters, reports, presentation materials and other documentation related to Corporate Planning matters.
Act as the main liaison with key stakeholders on strategic planning initiatives.
Promote Corporate Governance within the strategic planning process.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Management from a recognized University.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in corporate planning.
Possesses strong analytical mind, good problem solving and writing skills.
Ability to multitask, work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Good command of both written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Good interpersonal skills and personality.
