A leading real estate development company based in Klang City, Malaysia is seeking a Manager of Project Planning & Development (Commercial). This role involves overseeing the strategic planning and execution of commercial real estate development projects, ensuring they align with business objectives and are delivered on time and within budget. Ideal candidates will be familiar with local regulations and compliance, possess strong project management skills, and have experience working with various stakeholders to facilitate successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead feasibility studies and market analysis for new commercial development opportunities.
• Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align project goals with business strategy.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors during design and planning phases.
• Review and approve design proposals, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards.
• Manage design development and assist in tender process.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring milestones are met and risks are mitigated.
• Attend design & technical coordination process.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Familiar with local authorities permits, approvals, and compliance matters.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and investors.
• Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
