The Strategy & Projects (S&P) team works with stakeholders across all business functions in Grab to drive continuous improvements and lead special projects which would contribute to overall growth of the business. The team is responsible to generate business insights, propose data-driven strategic initiatives and lead large cross-functional projects to grow the business across Mobility, Deliveries ( GrabFood, GrabMart, GrabExpress) & Groceries (Jaya Grocer & Everrise).

Get to know the Role

The Manager, Platform Systems & Operations Integration will be responsible for designing, integrating, and optimising the technical systems that underpin our end-to-end e-commerce operations. This is a highly technical, cross-functional role that bridges Product, Tech, Operations, and Strategy and requires someone who can translate operational requirements into scalable product builds, system logic, analytics, and automation.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms and understands how WMS, IMS, OMS, ERP, and fulfilment/delivery systems interact. Beyond system configuration, you are expected to use data, logic, and automation to build workflows that scale. You must be able to:

  • Work closely and proactively with Business and Tech teams to align product requirements, system behaviour & API flows with operational needs
  • Build and integrate the core retail systems required to run a multi-category e-commerce business
  • Design automation frameworks that remove manual steps, strengthen controls, and create operational leverage
  • Use analytics and light coding (SQL, Python, scripting) to diagnose issues, validate assumptions, and optimise system behaviour
  • Break down ambiguous system or operational issues into structured, data-driven solutions
Scope Includes
  • Partnering with Product & Engineering: Work closely with Product and Engineering to translate operational needs into product requirements, system specifications, logic rules, and integration requirements.
  • Retail Systems Architecture & Integration: Lead the configuration and integration of core e-commerce systems such as WMS, IMS, OMS, ERP, routing/dispatch tools, and the e-commerce platform.
  • Automation & Technical Enablement: Build automation to eliminate manual steps and improve operational reliability. Use scripting or low-code tools to develop micro-workflows, alerts, and system checks. Continuously identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce operational complexity through automation.
  • Data Analytics, Monitoring & Diagnostics: Develop dashboards and analytical tools to monitor system health, routing performance, inventory accuracy, and fulfilment KPIs. Use SQL, logs, and workflow traces to diagnose issues and deliver data-driven recommendations that improve system stability and operational efficiency.
