Job description
Responsibilities


  • Institutes and maintain an effective maintenance planning and control system in the Planning Department to ensure the company’s aircraft, engines, components and the associated equipment are scheduled for maintenance in a timely and economical manner and in accordance with company’s manufacturer’s and CAAM requirements.


Qualifications


  • Hold a valid CAAM Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML), OR

  • Degree in any engineering discipline from recognised institutions; and

  • Minimum of five (5) years aviation experience.


Duties


  • Produce short, mid and long term maintenance forecast for the aircraft fleet, engines, component and associated equipment and ensures that maintenance are carried out in accordance with the AMP in a timely manner;

  • Co-ordinate with Part 145 maintenance organisations for scheduled maintenance checks;

  • Conduct work scopes, prepare work packages, and determine resources requirements and pre load for line and base maintenance;

  • Co-ordinate with contracted maintenance organisations to prepare maintenance checks and work input;

  • Deferred Defect Monitoring;

  • Ensure Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and other airworthiness requirements that affects company’s aircraft are scheduled for compliance in a timely manner;

  • To identify training needs and to provide training for subordinates to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively and efficiently;

  • Production control functions;

  • Preparation and management of maintenance check packages, and ensure all completed maintenance documentations are in good order;

  • Coordinate with contracted maintenance organisations to ensure that all maintenance documentations are duly returned within timeline after completion of aircraft maintenance;

  • Ensure adequate corrective action from quality audit findings;

  • Produces budgetary forecast for planning activities;

  • Responsible in the management, safekeeping, updating and review of Planning Departmental manual;

  • Any other task directed by CAM and not contradict with CAAM regulations.
