Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing/operations with strong Lean, TPM, and Six Sigma expertise.
  • Proven track record in delivering OEE, Reject, Yield improvements and system sustainability.
  • Lean Expert/Master, Black Belt/Master Black Belt certification is preferred.

Ansell is looking for a Manager, Operational Excellence (Integrated Work System) to join our team in Melaka!

In this position, as the APS Manager, you will be the site’s Lean Six Sigma expert, driving APS maturity and sustainability across all operations. You’ll lead the APS roadmap, coach leaders and teams, and ensure measurable improvements in OEE, FPY, cost, safety, quality, and delivery. This role is pivotal in embedding a Zero Loss and 100% Ownership mindset throughout the organization.

What your role will be?

You will be:

Lead IWS Deployment:
  • Develop and execute the site IWS roadmap aligned with global strategy.
  • Drive maturity of IWS pillars (Focused Improvement, Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, etc.) with clear milestones.
  • Conduct governance audits, pillar reviews, and maturity assessments to ensure compliance and progress.
Drive Continuous Improvement:
  • Champion Lean methodologies and best practices across all operations.
  • Identify and eliminate losses using tools like Loss Tree, Loss Map, IPS, UPS & BDE.
  • Implement Centerlines, CIL standards, PM schedules, and defect catalogues with Engineering & Production teams.
  • Lead structured problem-solving using FI methodology to address chronic issues.
Build Capability & Transform Culture:
  • Develop training plans for leaders, engineers, and operators using LEARN–DO–TEACH methodology.
  • Coach leadership on DDS management, problem-solving, and daily performance tracking.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, workshops, and cross-functional improvement activities.
Performance Management:
  • Own APS/IWS KPIs and reporting dashboards for site leadership and global teams.
  • Track improvements through scorecards, productivity dashboards, and validate cost savings, ROI, and waste reduction.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally:
  • Partner with Engineering, Production, Quality, EHS, and Supply Chain to integrate IWS into daily operations.
  • Align IWS activities with CAPEX projects, new line start-ups, and technology deployments.
Ensure Sustainability:
  • Embed IWS ways of working into SOPs and operating standards.
  • Reinforce improvements through audits, leader standard work, and capability building.
What will you bring to Ansell?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field.
  • Experience in manufacturing/operations with strong Lean, TPM, Six Sigma expertise.
  • Experience in Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, or Production System deployment.
  • Proven track record delivering OEE, Reject, Yield improvements and system sustainability.
  • Experience developing capability and coaching leaders at shopfloor and management levels.
  • Lean Expert/Master, Black Belt/Master Black Belt certification is preferred.
