Our client is a well known Malaysia's leading Credit Reporting organisation currently looking for a Manager / Lead, Pre-Sales (Data Analytics). This role is responsible for shaping data analytics value propositionsthat leverage the company’s entire product portfolio to satisfy client needs (mainly BFSI industry).In close collaboration with sales and other functional teams, the role willtake ownership of client engagements across all product analytics relatedopportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Solutioningand Client Engagements
- Lead high-impact discovery sessions with C-levelstakeholders to uncover business challenges and align analytics solutions withstrategic objectives.
- Own client engagements and collaborate with sales teams to understandclient needs.
- Translate analytical capabilities into compellingbusiness value narratives that drive executive buy-in.
- Lead product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and deep-divesessions to prospective clients.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-sellingof data analytics offerings.
- Participate in client discovery sessions andworkshops to refine business requirements.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients inselecting and adopting the most appropriate analytics solutions.
- Partner with sales leadership to shape go-to-market strategiesfor analytics offerings across verticals.
- Influence deal structuring and pricing strategiesfor complex, multi-year engagements.
- Own the technical win in strategic pursuits,including RFP/RFI responses, solution presentations, and contract negotiations.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Understand the value of data andadvanced analytics propositions and how they help financial institutions,telecommunications and insurance companies achieve their objectives.
- Work closely with internal teams to developstrategies, solution demos, and presentations tailored to client requirements.
- Collaborate with productteams to align solutions with client insights and market trends.
- Maintain a deepunderstanding of the latest market and industry trends, as well as dataanalytics technologies.
- Act as a bridge betweenproduct, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure solution feasibility andscalability.
- Collaborate withmarketing to refine messaging and positioning of analytics solutions.
- Mentor and coach juniorpre-sales consultants, fostering a culture of excellence and continuouslearning.
Thought Leadership & Innovation
- Serve as a subject matterexpert in data analytics, contributing to white papers, webinars, and industryevents.
- Identify emerging trendsin data, AI, and cloud to inform product roadmap and client advisory.
- Drive innovation inpre-sales methodologies, including automation of demos, POCs, and clientonboarding.
Performance & Pipeline Tracking
- Track pre-sales activities,success rates and client feedback for continuous improvement.
- Contribute toforecasting and sales pipeline planning by providing insights on solutioncomplexity and delivery feasibility and deal strategy development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics,Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of proven experience in pre-sales, risk andproduct management, consulting, or data analytics with focus on leveraging datato optimize performance and drive meaningful benefits.
- Domain expertise in financial services, credit orfintech sector is essential.
- Experience collaborating with sales teams andworking in client-facing environments.
- Strong understanding of analytics and data scienceconcepts and business intelligence tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills,with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders at alllevels.
- Ability to develop tailored demos, proposals, andtechnical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a consultative andclient-centric approach.
- Ableto manage multiple engagements and timeline in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
