A leading agricultural firm in Miri, Malaysia is seeking an experienced IT Manager. The successful candidate will oversee IT infrastructure, ensure operational reliability, and manage cybersecurity initiatives while facilitating digital transformation. Required qualifications include a degree in a relevant field and 5-7 years of IT experience, including 3 years in a managerial role. To manage and oversee the organisation’s IT infrastructure, systems, and services to ensure operational reliability, cybersecurity, and alignment with business objectives. The role supports business continuity, digital transformation, and efficient technology utilisation across the Group.
Manage day-to-day IT operations including servers, networks, systems, and end-user computing.
Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of IT systems.
Oversee system backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
Implement and maintain IT security policies, controls, and best practices.
Monitor and manage cybersecurity risks, incidents, and vulnerabilities.
Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
Lead system implementation, upgrades, and digitalisation initiatives.
Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders for project delivery.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
Evaluate vendor performance and ensure service level compliance.
Control IT budgets and optimise technology costs.
Oversee IT helpdesk and user support services.
Establish IT SOPs, policies, and governance frameworks.
Provide guidance and training to users on systems and security awareness.
Work closely with business units to understand technology needs.
Recommend IT solutions to improve efficiency, productivity, and automation.
Support management decision-making with technology insights.
Perform any other IT-related duties assigned by management.
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
At least 5–7 years’ experience in IT, with minimum 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Experience supporting multi-site operations or diverse business sectors is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, and systems administration.
Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft 365, and enterprise IT environments.
Sound understanding of IT governance, risk management, and data protection.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Maintain stable and secure IT systems with minimal downtime.
