A leading asset management company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Manager, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) & ESG to integrate risk and sustainability practices into core operations. This solo-contributor role involves building ERM frameworks and ESG strategies, while engaging with senior stakeholders. Candidates should have 5-8 years in risk management and strong communication skills. This position offers a chance to influence decision-making and contribute to organizational governance significantly.
At RAC, we manage and develop national rail assets that support long-term mobility, economic growth, and public value. As our business evolves, so does the need for strong governance, foresight, and risk-informed decision-making.
We are looking for a Manager, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) & ESG to embed risk and sustainability thinking into the way RAC plans, operates, and makes decisions.
This is a solo-contributor role with real influence, designed for someone who enjoys building systems, engaging across functions, and turning complexity into structure, without relying on a large team or heavy frameworks.
Build and maintain RAC’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, including enterprise-wide risk identification, assessment, and mitigation tracking.
Maintain the corporate risk register and monitor emerging risks across strategic, operational, financial, governance, and ESG areas.
Integrate risk considerations into business planning, transformation initiatives, and major projects, translating risks into practical management insights.
Establish and integrate RAC’s ESG framework as part of the organisation’s overall governance and risk management approach.
Embed ESG considerations into rail assets, property development, facilities management, and commercial activities.
Define ESG data requirements and reporting structures, working with internal teams to ensure data is generated at source and used meaningfully.
Prepare concise ERM and ESG updates for management and governance discussions.
Act as a business partner to internal teams, helping integrate risk and ESG considerations into everyday decision-making.
Support other strategic and cross-functional initiatives related to governance, risk, and sustainability as required.
5–8 years of experience in ERM, ESG, governance, strategy, or related fields.
Comfortable working independently and engaging senior stakeholders without formal authority.
Able to structure ambiguous problems and build practical, workable systems.
Strong communication skills—able to translate technical issues into clear business implications.
Experience in infrastructure, property, utilities, or regulated environments is a plus.
This role is suited for individuals who are comfortable working independently, engaging across the organisation, and embedding risk management and ESG seamlessly into core business operations rather than treating them as standalone initiatives.
You will help shape how RAC sees risk, plans for the future, and makes informed, balanced decisions with visibility and trust from senior leadership.
