A leading bank in Malaysia is seeking a Manager, Business Finance to support financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for business banking. The role involves monthly and quarterly tasks, as well as ad-hoc reporting. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and has 4 to 6 years of experience in the banking industry. This position offers opportunities for training and skills development in a collaborative environment.
To support team lead in the full spectrum of divisional financial & management reporting, forecasting, budgeting and ad-hoc assignments for decision making in both short and long term.
Monthly Tasks
Prepare monthly journal adjustments for posting (e.g., accruals, LCP waiver, FTP, etc.).
Support monthly financial reporting, including segmental reporting within BB.
Consolidate BB forecast numbers by Total, Product, and LOBs for segment reporting.
Prepare monthly SMEs loans update for AmBank (including BB & WB).
Prepare monthly summary for SMEs loans to facilitate team lead discussions with Business Financial Controller – BB & Business from all LOBs.
Ensure all reporting deadlines are met with a high degree of accuracy.
Quarterly Tasks
Annual Tasks
Prepare and consolidate annual budgeting for SMEs (including BB & WB).
Build robust budget templates for SMEs (BB & WB).
Ad-hoc & Special Reporting
Prepare induction deck for new BOD.
Prepare summary for top customer profitability.
Prepare ad-hoc reporting/financials by entity.
Provide information required by Business & Group Finance and manage queries from Internal/External Auditors & External Reporting Team.
Support mapping for BB Business (Entity, Cost Centre, Product, General Ledger) to align with HFM/EPM.
Enhance effectiveness of reports.
Consistently liaise with WB Business Finance on SMEs financial updates.
Proactively engage with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Training & Development
Build skills and career development (e.g., analytical variances and engagement with other product teams).
Continuously attend relevant training courses, including MyLMS.
Conduct training for team members on work-related topics (e.g., financial reporting structure, data sources, etc.).

Education
Bachelor Degree in Accounting
SPM
Work Experiences
Minimum 4 to 6 years working experience in banking industry and relevant function.
