As the Freight Sales Manager, you will develop territory sales strategies and be responsible for attracting new customers. This position drives key results for the B2B department that includes profit and revenue growth. Main focus will be driving LTL, palletized revenue.
Responsibilities
- Acquisition of New Business Opportunities (Freight Sales LTL)
- Identify new businesses in freight sales, follow up on potential sales opportunities, manage lead qualification and generation through calls, and convert prospects into accounts, emphasizing those with maximum revenue potential.
- Execute sales strategies to secure competitor business in major and key account portfolios. Conduct customer visits, meetings, and attend related events.
- Evaluate customer needs and prepare proposals to secure new business opportunities.
- Maintain rigorous follow-up to build relationships with senior decision-makers.
- Coordinate with different departments on lead initiatives.
Customer Development
- Develop strong customer relationships and grow wallet share. Coordinate with cross-functional teams and act as the customer’s point of contact to address queries, problems, or issues.
Market Insights
- Provide market insights based on current trends regarding competitor service, pricing, and operational capabilities.
- Share updated industry trends with the commercial team to enhance product and solution offerings.
Stakeholder Management
- Ensure close coordination with sales and operations teams.
- Maintain good relationships with stakeholders to ensure smooth processes without impacting daily operations.
Operational Solutioning
- Work closely with product specialists, project managers, and the operations team to deliver high-quality work products.
- Participate in customer meetings and assist in identifying effective solutions to aid sales conversion.
- Develop knowledge of products/services, project management, and operational awareness to provide optimal solutions for customers.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in domestic transportation or freight forwarding industries.
- Proven track record of sales success.
- Strong sales acumen and negotiation skills.
- Experience in logistics freight sales is an advantage.
- Ability to manage relationships with key decision-makers.
- Bachelor’s Degree in any field.
- Mandarin language skills are preferred due to business requirements.
