Manager / Assistant Manager - Retail Development (Leasing)

We are on the lookout for a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to fill the vital role of Assistant Manager - Retail Development (Leasing) within our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of our retail expansion efforts, playing a key role in extending our brand's presence across various states in Malaysia.

Responsibilities
  1. Expansion Planning: Develop and execute expansion plans to cover multiple states, working collaboratively with the team to ensure strategic growth and to facilitate and expedite expansion initiatives.

  2. Quality and Quantity Outlet Targeting: Conduct comprehensive on-the-ground research to identify potential outlets, meeting with landlords, agents, management, residents, and business owners for detailed discussions. Cultivate long‑term relationships to lay the foundation for future development and expansion opportunities.

  3. Negotiation and Agreement Management: Navigate the competitive market by skillfully negotiating Letters of Intent (LOI), Letters of Offer (LOO), and Tenancy Agreements, always safeguarding the company's core interests.

  4. Renewal Management: Monitor lease renewal cases, ensuring a proactive approach with a 6‑month notice before expiration. Conduct a thorough study of the latest market trends and situations before finalizing renewal agreements. Must be capable of managing tender projects.

  5. Administrative Duties and SOP Implementation: Oversee the implementation of new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and administrative tasks related to retail development. Manage documentation, such as the Retail Development form, for the proper release of all deposits.
