About Munabook
Munabook is a Qur’an learning app that connects students with qualified ustaz/ustazah for online 1-to-1 classes and live programmes.
We focus on:
- Tools & resources for learning al‑Qur’an
- A supportive Qur’an learning community
- 1-to-1 online classes for adults and children, with trial sessions and a simple refund policy
We are now growing more seriously in Malaysia, especially through multi‑speaker Qur’an/tajwid live sessions inside our app.
The Role
You will be our “on-the-ground” person in Malaysia, helping us:
- Build and manage relationships with Malaysian ustaz/ustazah
- Plan and coordinate Qur’an/tajwid live events in the Munabook app
- Support local marketing and community activities for Malaysian users
This is a long‑term, part‑time role (around 30–50 hours per month to start, with the possibility to adjust based on programmes and mutual agreement).
Key Responsibilities
- Ustaz/Ustazah Partnerships
- Research and shortlist suitable ustaz/ustazah / Qur’an teachers in Malaysia (personal IP or small centres; not large app competitors)
- Reach out via WhatsApp / Instagram / Facebook, present our collaboration ideas and follow up
- Discuss and coordinate: topic, format, date & time, revenue sharing, and basic expectations
- Collect speaker materials: photo, short bio, topic description, social links
- Maintain a simple tracking sheet of all contacted teachers and their status
- Live Event Operations (Malaysia)
- Help plan monthly Qur’an/tajwid live sessions for Malaysian users inside the Munabook app
- Draft and localise promotional copy in Bahasa Melayu (and English where needed) for:
- WhatsApp broadcasts

- Instagram posts & captions
- Liaise with our internal team on banners, app notifications and other assets
- After each event, collect feedback via simple online forms and summarise key learning points
- Market Insight & Local Culture
- Monitor similar online Qur’an/tajwid programmes in Malaysia (pricing, format, marketing angles)
- Advise on local culture, wording and sensitivity for BM copy, especially for charity‑related communication
- Suggest suitable NGOs or campaigns in Malaysia for charity‑oriented live sessions (nice to have)
- Reporting
- Provide short weekly or bi‑weekly updates on work done, results, and next actions
- Communicate with the founder team via WhatsApp / Telegram / email / Zoom
Requirements
- Currently living in Malaysia (any state – remote work)
- Fluent in Bahasa Melayu (native or near‑native) and comfortable in English
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially via WhatsApp, IG and FB
- Experience in at least one of the following:
- Business development / partnerships
- Community management
- Event or webinar coordination
- Social media / digital marketing
- Comfortable reaching out to new people, following up and handling basic negotiations
- Well‑organised and able to manage multiple conversations and events at the same time
- Familiarity with the Islamic / Qur’an learning scene in Malaysia is a strong plus (e.g. you follow ustaz/ustazah online, know common platforms or programmes)
What We Offer
- Part‑time, remote role: around 30–50 hours per month
- Monthly retainer RM2,000–3,000, depending on experience and hours
- Additional performance bonuses based on:
- Number and quality of speakers successfully onboarded
- Number of live events successfully completed
