• A diploma or technical certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in oil & gas industry, preferably in LPG bottling plant.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Good communication skills in English and Malay.
• Willing to work in 2 cycle shifts – 6 days a week/45 hours.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily inspection of LPG Plant equipment.
• Obtain approval before non-routine job executions.
• Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled.
• Ensure plant equipment is in good condition.
• Attend to equipment malfunction issues.
• Assist in managing spare parts inventory.
• Coordinate with maintenance contractors and authorities.
• Participate in monthly emergency drills.
• Compile monthly maintenance records.
• Contribute to plant process improvements.

Job description

Overview

As a Maintenance Technician at the Bottling Plant of GES Klang Terminal Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the plant's production equipment and facilities. This full-time position is based in Pulau Indah, Selangor.

Responsibilities

• To carry out daily inspection of LPG Plant equipment to ensure it is in good and safe working condition and submit necessary feedbacks to Maintenance Coordinator.
• To obtain approval from Maintenance Coordinator and adhere to Permit to Work System(PTW) before any job executions (non-routine activities).
• To carry out preventive maintenance as per schedule and instructions from Maintenance Coordinator.
• To ensure plant equipment in tip-top condition and play key role in improving production efficiency.
• To attend any issues related to equipment malfunction/breakdown on own discretion where possible and take the efforts to minimise equipment breakdown.
• To assist Maintenance Coordinator in managing spare parts inventory.
• To assist Maintenance Coordinator to liaise with maintenance contractor, authorities (DOSH, Metrology) and to ensure effective control and maintaining of records.
• To involve in monthly emergency drill and alarm testing.
• To assist on monthly plant maintenance record /data compilation.
• To be part of team member for plant process re-innovation and improvement.
• To perform any other jobs, assigned as and when by Maintenance Coordinator.

Qualifications

• A diploma or technical certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in oil & gas industry, preferably in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) bottling plant.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings.
• Able to communicate (write & read) in English and Malay.
• Good team player and self-motivated.
• Applicants must be willing to work in 2 cycle shifts – 6 days a week/45 hours
• Applicants must be willing to work at Westport, Port Klang, Selangor.
