Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and services.
• Install light bulbs, doors, cabinets, paneling, formica, carpet, and bulletin boards.
• Paint interior and exterior walls and cabinets; hang wallpaper and pictures; assemble furniture.
• Set-up and install electricity, computer, telecommunication and cctv cables as needed; repair and relocate light fixtures.
• Replace washers and seals on malfunctioning plumbing equipment.
• Maintain periodicaly inspection and maintenance of building and machine.
• Perform welding as needed.
• Assist with maintaining security of property.
• Maintain consistent application of company policies, procedures and shop floor rules.
• Adhere to all applicable Occupational Safety and Health laws and regulations as well as such standards, practices and procedures instituted by the Company.
• Any other responsibility which may be assigned from time to time by Department Head.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Basic principles and techniques of plumbing, security installation, painting, electricity, and cement work.
• Basic welding practices and techniques.
• Operational characteristics of mechanical equipment and tools used in the area of work assigned.
• Tools, equipment and supplies used in providing comprehensive building maintenance services.
• Occupational hazards and standard safety practices necessary in the area of work assigned.

Ability to:

• Identify minor problems and implement solutions.
• Repair plumbing, machinery, and electrical circuitry.
• Operate reach truck, skylift and forklift.
• Work independently in the absence of supervision.
• Understand and follow oral and written directions.
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Experience:

• Below 2 years of general building and plant facilities maintenance experience.

Working Conditions:

• Travel from plant to plant or house to house.
• Exposure to dust, heat and noise work environments.
• Some heavy lifting, standing, climbing.
• May work at heights.
• Work in varied weather conditions.
