Job summary

A manufacturing company in Johor, Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair plant machinery and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in the machinery and electrical field, hold a vocational technician qualification, and be willing to work night shifts and overtime as needed. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance and vendor oversight.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in machinery and electrical field.
• Undergraduate from vocational technician academic school.
• Willing to work in night shift and overtime public holiday or weekend.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair plant facilities, machinery, equipment, and tooling.
• Report on machine condition and maintain repair logs.
• Carry out preventive maintenance activities.
• Assist facility engineers in improving machinery performance.
• Ensure vendor work meets expectations.
• Troubleshoot machinery electrical issues.
• Install wiring and replace faulty electrical parts.
• Use multimeter and test pen for electrical diagnostics.

Job Description

• Trouble shoot and repair plant facilities, machinery, equipment and tooling to meet the expectation performance.
• Reporting the inspection machine condition, repairing log event, spare part inventory according to facility department system procedure.
• Carry out the preventive maintenance activities to enhance the effort reduction of break downtime.
• Assist the facility engineer to continue improve the machinery, facilities and tooling performance.
• Assist the facility to ensure the vendor work meet the expectation
• Troubleshoot the machinery due to electrical work such as machinery tripped (included invertor, PLC program, circuit breaker and relay, etc)
• Experience installation wiring work, electrical faulty part replacement
• Know how to use the Multimeter and test pen to check the leakage of electrical supply or part diagnosis.
