Key Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician shall:
Equipment Maintenance
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machines, tools, and facility equipment.
- Carry out corrective maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Support predictive maintenance activities using basic condition‑monitoring tools.
Breakdown Response
- Respond promptly to breakdown calls and restore equipment functionality.
- Record breakdown details, root cause, and corrective actions in maintenance logs.
- Escalate major or recurring issues to the Operation Manager or Engineering support.
Maintenance Planning Support
- Assist in identifying spare part requirements and stock levels.
- Follow and update maintenance checklists and records.
- Provide feedback for continuous improvement of the maintenance plan.
Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Comply with workplace safety regulations and maintenance safety procedures.
- Use proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) methods during maintenance activities.
- Ensure environmental controls are followed when handling oils, lubricants, or waste.
Documentation & IMS Support
- Maintain accurate maintenance records as per ISO/IATF/IMS procedures.
- Support audits by providing documented evidence of completed maintenance tasks.
- Participate in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
Competency Requirements
- Education: Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field
- Experience: 2–3 years in industrial equipment maintenance or facility management
- Technical Skills: Proficient in basic mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting
- Tools Knowledge: Familiar with maintenance hand tools, measuring instruments, and repair techniques
- Safety Compliance: Knowledge of safety procedures, PPE use, and LOTO practices
- IMS Awareness: Basic understanding of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001 requirements
- Reporting: Ability to complete checklists, log sheets, and simple technical reports
Preferred Qualifications / Added Advantage
- Possess Chargeman AO (Low Voltage)
- Possess PW4 Wireman Competency
- Experience in motor control systems, MCC panel, or LV electrical troubleshooting
