Job summary

A local recruiting firm is seeking a skilled technician in mechanical maintenance for operations in Ipoh, Malaysia. The ideal candidate holds a diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics and is proficient in English, Malay, and Mandarin. Candidates will troubleshoot and repair machinery, perform preventive maintenance, and participate in training sessions. The role requires initiative and the ability to work independently. Previous experience in a GMP environment is preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities

Conduct troubleshooting and repair machines, equipment, accessories and adjustment to ensure that plant operation in good running condition.

Maintenance of machine and water system according to schedule.

Perform basic cleaning of air conditioner units.

To perform effective preventive maintenance serving for plant utilities such as CCTV camera, telephone system and others.

Maintenance machinery, equipment, and tools by cleaning, lubricating, greasing, oiling, to ensure optimum working order.

Handle electrical tools and work area clean, safe and maintain at all time by complying with procedures, rules and regulations and reports any defects.

Perform inspection and adjustment as routine job and report in Machinery Maintenance Record and Mechanical Log Book.

Assign repair schedule and evaluate repair cost estimations.

Maintains technical knowledge by attending internal training, educational workshops and on job training.

Respond to establish sufficient spare and consumables stocks levels to support equipment maintenance.

Liaise with relevant personnel from related departments for matter affecting maintenance tasks.

Other task assigned by the superior management.

Qualifications

Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or equivalent.

Required language: English, Malay & Mandarin. "We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin‑speaking clients."

Experience working in GMP environment is an added advantage.

Able to work independently and with initiative.

Good technical background, experience in repairing and equipment maintenance.
