Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate the work of technicians for equipment development.
• Assist the Senior Maintenance Supervisor in planning and executing jobs.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications and statutory regulations.
• Optimize equipment utilization through proactive maintenance systems.
• Train and motivate subordinate staff to enhance productivity.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance at the plant.
• Update records like machine downtime and utilities readings.
• Coordinate technical activities ensuring standards are met.
• Execute work within budget and safety regulations.
• Maximize staff utilization to meet manufacturing goals.
• Assist in controlling plant operating expenses.
• Act on additional duties as directed by management.

Job description

1.0 RESPONSIBILITIES

• 1.1 To plan, direct and co-ordinate the work of technicians in the development, installation and commission, maintenance of repair of equipments and machineries in the plant.
• 1.2 To assist the Senior Maintenance Supervisor and lead the maintenance team i.e. planning and executing jobs in the ‘Planned Maintenance System’ for the plant to reduce unexpected breakdowns and downtimes of machinery.
• 1.3 To ensure technical specifications or standards for equipments and machineries are compliance with the policies and Statutory’s requirements of the Company.
• 1.4 To plan and recommend pro-active maintenance systems by way of repairs, replacement to optimize the utilization of equipments and machineries to the Company.
• 1.5 To train, develop, coach and motivate the subordinate staff to perform according to set standards to enhance the productivity of the team.
• 1.6 To ensure the safety and environmental issues of the Company are in compliance with the Statutory regulations.
• 1.7 To ensure appropriate records of the Company are updated at all times e.g. machine downtime / utilities meter reading, etc.
• 1.8 To co-ordinate and execute technical activities with the Consulting Engineers, suppliers and contractors by ensuring specifications and standards are met.
• 1.9 To ensure work is executed on schedule datelines in accordance with specifications, within budget and to the safety of all concerned.
• 1.10 To ensure the staff assisting him is being utilized to the maximum to meet manufacturing goals and machine downtime are rectified in the earliest time.
• 1.11 To assist the Senior Factory Manager to control the operating expenses of the plant.
• 1.12 To act on any other responsibilities and duties as may be directed from time to time.
