Job Description
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance programs for all production and utility equipment.
  • Ensure PM schedules are executed on time to minimize breakdowns and unplanned downtime.
  • Monitor equipment performance trends and apply reliability tools (e.g., FMEA, RCA) to prevent recurring failures.
  • Use condition monitoring tools (vibration, temperature, lubrication analysis) to anticipate potential failures.
  • Respond to breakdowns and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues efficiently to restore equipment functionality.
  • Lead or participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records through CMMS and generate downtime reports for analysis.
  • Work closely with Production and Quality teams to optimize OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
  • Identify and lead small improvement projects to enhance line efficiency, reduce waste, and improve changeover time.
  • Support CI programs such as TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen initiatives.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment or line extensions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and OEM suppliers to implement upgrades or modifications.
  • Assist in developing equipment specifications, layout drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) and HACCP standards.
  • Participate in risk assessments, permit-to-work systems, and safety audits.
  • Adhere to food safety protocols and ensure maintenance work does not compromise product quality.
The Successful Applicant

A successful Maintenance Engineer should have:

  • A degree or diploma in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in maintenance within the FMCG & Pharmaceutical Manufacturing industry
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose technical issues effectively.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance tools and software systems.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with different teams.
