Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and equipment history.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance procedures.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
2. PLC Programming & Automation
  • Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron).
  • Integrate PLC systems with HMIs, sensors, actuators, and other control devices.
  • Analyse and optimize control logic to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with production and process teams to implement automation improvements.
  • Maintain documentation of PLC programs, wiring diagrams, and control system architecture.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action for recurring equipment issues.
  • Support Kaizen, TPM, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Recommend upgrades or modifications to improve equipment efficiency and reliability.
4. Technical Support & Collaboration
  • Provide technical support to production teams during equipment operation.
  • Coordinate with external vendors or contractors for specialized repairs or upgrades.
  • Train technicians and operators on equipment handling and basic troubleshooting.
5. Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure all maintenance and automation activities comply with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures during maintenance and programming tasks.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance and PLC programming.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical components.
