Job summary

A manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a production coordinator to compile daily statistics, track production progress, and manage team output. The ideal candidate should have a Technical Secondary School qualification or higher, strong communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English, and at least 3 years of experience in machining production or team supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of machining products are essential. This role requires adherence to the Production Supervisor's arrangements and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications

• Technical Secondary School (SMK/Vokasional) or higher qualification recognized by MQA.
• Preferred with production team leadership experience; trained in ISO management standards.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in machining production or team supervision.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English for communication and documentation.

• Compile daily statistics of output volume, working hours, and material wastage.

Job description

Compile daily statistics of output volume, working hours and material wastage for all departments.

Track and report production progress of each work team.

Calculate monthly cost rate of production material wastage and incoming material defects.

Summarize details of finished goods warehousing, shipment and production line operations.

Collate employee assessment data, prepare related reports, and organize & file documents systematically.

Proactively assist in completing other related tasks assigned by the Machining Production Supervisor and company management.

Job Requirements

Education

Technical Secondary School (SMK/Vokasional) or higher qualification (recognized by Malaysian Qualifications Agency, MQA).

Training/Professional Background

Preferred with production team leadership experience; trained in management system standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, QC 080000) and intellectual property management systems is an advantage.

Knowledge & Skills

Familiar with machining products and their production processes; proficient in operating machining machinery and equipment.

Work Experience

Minimum 3 year of relevant working experience in machining production or team supervision.

Computer Literacy

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel with common functions: VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables, etc.).

Language Proficiency

Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia (verbal & written) – for daily team communication and documentation.

Fluent in English (verbal & written) – for work reports, system operations and coordination with the Production Supervisor.

Basic Chinese-Mandarin is a plus (not mandatory) – for potential communication with Chinese-speaking colleagues.
