Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Johor Bahru is seeking an experienced M&E Coordinator to oversee the implementation of mechanical and electrical works on site. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years’ experience, including involvement in high-rise projects. Strong problem-solving and leadership skills are required, alongside the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and ensure project adherence to quality and safety standards. Job description

Review and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, and Building drawings to ensure consistency and constructability.

Oversee the on-site implementation of M&E works, ensuring compliance with design specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements.

Monitor quality, safety, and progress of M&E works, ensuring timely delivery in accordance with project schedules.

Liaise closely with the main contractor, sub-contractors, consultants, and the client to resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions.

Prepare regular reports on site progress, quality issues, and any non-conformances.

Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with safety standards and project requirements.

To assist in ad-hoc assignments from time to time.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Must have completed at least one high-rise project in the capacity of a Resident Engineer or M&E Coordinator.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and M&E systems.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient in reviewing technical drawings and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Willing to work at Taman Desa Tebrau, Johor Bahru.
