Job summary

A leading Malaysian construction firm is seeking a skilled M&E Project Manager in Kuala Lumpur. This role involves overseeing the installation of M&E systems, coordinating with subcontractors, and managing project documentation. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and have 3-5 years of relevant experience, particularly in high-rise projects. The position requires strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, as well as a willingness to work 6 days and travel between Kuala Lumpur and Negeri Sembilan.

About the job

• Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance: Review designs, supervise the installation and commissioning of all M&E systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.), and ensure strict compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and local authority regulations.
• Coordination & Scheduling: Develop M&E work programs and effectively coordinate work between M&E subcontractors, main contractor teams, and other project stakeholders to maintain the overall project timeline.
• Cost & Documentation Control: Monitor M&E progress against budget, manage variation orders, and meticulously prepare and maintain all essential project documentation, including reports and as-built records.

What you need to succeed

• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or relevant
• Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in M&E project management, specifically on high-rise residential and/or commercial building projects
• Strong technical knowledge of various M&E systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, BMS)
• Willing to work 6 days
• Willing to travel between KL and Negeri Sembilan
