Job summary

A leading construction firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineer. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and have over 10 years of construction experience, with 1-2 of those years specifically in data center projects. Responsibilities include planning and executing M&E trades, coordinating works to meet standards, and leading system testing and commissioning. Strong technical knowledge in ACMV and professional certifications are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction experience, including at least 1 to 2 years in data center projects.
• Possess relevant professional certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE), PMP, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Planning and execution M&E trades across all project stages.

• Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities and subcontractors on technical and commercial matters.
• Ensure proper integration of M&E works with C&S and architectural trades.
• Lead testing and commissioning of all systems and ensure readiness for handover.
• Identify and mitigate M&E-related project risks to maintain safety, quality and timeline.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of construction experience, including at least 1 to 2 years in data center projects.
• Strong technical knowledge in ACMV, Electrical systems, ELV, fire protection and plumbing systems.
• Detail-oriented with strong design review capability and able to resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Possess relevant professional certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE), PMP, or equivalent.
