Position: Electrical & Mechanical Drafter

GENRE Professional is an M&E engineering consulting firm based in Cheras, Selangor, established in 2022. We specialise in the design of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems for renewable energy, solar, biogas, biomass, buildings, factories, residential and infrastructure projects.

This full‑time position involves developing detailed electrical and mechanical drawings and design to support the successful execution of engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed mechanical and electrical (M&E) drawings using CAD.
• Work closely with engineers to interpret project requirements and convert them into precise technical drawings.
• Ensure all drawings are prepared in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Check measurements, units, and technical specifications to ensure drawing accuracy.
• Develop technical drawings based on sketches and initial design concepts from engineers.
• Provide technical support to internal teams during project implementation.
• Coordinate with external vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors when required.
• Manage and update design documentation, ensuring records are properly maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback and project changes.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 1 year of relevant experience in an M&E drafting role within the engineering or construction industry is an added advantage.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software and drafting tools.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical codes and industry standards.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents accurately.
• Attention to detail, strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with multidisciplinary teams.
