Job summary

Requirements
  • Possess a valid [Class D / GDL / PSV] driving license.
  • Minimum [3] years of proven driving experience.
  • Ability to drive all makes/models of vehicles.
  • Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.
  • Physically fit with good eyesight and health condition.
  • Responsible, punctual, and trustworthy.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime if required.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely pick-up and delivery according to schedules.
  • Ensures stocks packaging meets all company, or customer’s requirements and regulations, secures loads through a variety of packing methods.
  • Ensures loads are properly secure on vehicles for delivery.
  • Assist in loading and unloading goods when required.
  • Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department.
  • Maintains deep knowledge of delivery protocols and observes traffic rules.
  • Logs successful and unsuccessful deliveries.
  • Conduct routine checks and ensure cleanliness of the vehicle.
  • Reports any vehicle maintenance problems to Admin in accordance with Company procedure and does not operate an unsafe vehicle.
  • Maintains deep knowledge of delivery protocols, comply with all traffic regulations, road safety rules and observes traffic rules.
  • Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately.
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery logs.
  • Responsible for the safe transportation of goods, which includes loading and unloading cargo / stocks, operate company vehicles (vans or lorries), planning efficient delivery routes, maintaining the vehicle’s condition, and ensuring proof of delivery.
  • Key duties often involve assisting with warehouse operations, managing inventory, tracking stock, and performing routine vehicle maintenance.
