• Ability to assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
• Capable of performing basic vehicle maintenance checks and reporting any issues to the Lorry Driver or supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lorry driver in the safe and efficient operation of the lorry, ensuring all deliveries are completed on time and in excellent condition.
• Load and unload goods from the lorry, verifying the accuracy of items against delivery notes and ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes with the driver, considering traffic conditions, delivery schedules, and customer locations to maximize efficiency and minimize delays.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signed delivery notes, mileage logs, and any discrepancies encountered during the delivery process.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while operating the lorry and handling goods, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Conduct routine inspections of the lorry, checking for any maintenance issues or safety concerns, and reporting them to the driver or supervisor promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions they may have, and ensuring their satisfaction.
