AWS Infrastructure Operations Logistics seeks a Logistics Specialist to maintain inventory and manage the flow of parts across data center locations. This role ensures proper stock levels support build and repair activities while meeting service level requirements for the world’s largest cloud computing infrastructure.
The Logistics Specialist manages inbound shipments, controls inventory accuracy, and coordinates with Data Center Operations Technicians to deliver parts quickly. You will work with procurement teams and vendors to resolve issues, optimize parts flow through their lifecycle, and maintain precise records of all materials. The role requires physical work including loading equipment with pallet jacks, handling shipments, and transporting parts between locations.
You will maintain metrics dashboards, validate billing accuracy, and communicate regularly with internal teams and external vendors. This position operates in a 24/7 environment and requires flexibility to work overtime as business needs dictate. The work involves standing for prolonged periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in varying noise levels and temperatures.
Success in this role requires attention to detail for inventory control, strong communication skills for vendor management, and commitment to safety standards. You will contribute to ensuring AWS customers have continual access to cloud services by keeping critical spare parts available when needed.
