Job summary

A leading electronic manufacturing services provider in Malaysia is seeking a Shipping Executive to manage shipping coordination and customs documentation. The ideal candidate will have at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge in customs procedures, good communication skills in both Bahasa Melayu and English, and the ability to work in Batu Kawan, Penang are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

Administer shipping and custom clearance documentation and work process.

Work together in liaising with forwarding agencies for all shipments.

Liase with custom and other government agencies in relate to shipping and logistic requirement.

Generate custom form (K9) for outgoing shipments.

Handle order processing, fulfilment and timely delivery to customers.

Handle full spectrum of logistic and shipping documentation ensuring compliance to regulation requirement.

Liaise with appointed agents for export shipments bookings based on shipment terms (FOB,DDU, EXW, CIF and etc).

Responsible to co-ordinate and ensure timely submission of monthly K2 reports for M2 foragent/transporter.

Comparison of quotes with several shipping agents to get a reasonable price.

Prepare custom document - monthly subcon report & Renewal LMW License for custom.

To do Declare K9 (EDI) using ALDEC system for local company, Sub-con customer.

Maintain proper documentation management and filling/record keeping.

Ensure on preparation outward shipping documentation and exports are smooth flow with timely delivery.

To perform any ad-hoc task given by Superior.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/ Bachelor's Degree/ Professional Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years’ work experience (Shipping Assistant/ Executive Forwarding Agent) in the manufacturing industry.

Candidate must possess good knowledge in custom's procedures.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Good command of written and spoken Bahasa Melayu and English.

Candidates must be willing to work in Batu Kawan, Penang.
