Job description
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize warehouse operations and logistics processes in alignment with company objectives.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of warehouse supervisors, logistics coordinators, and support staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Implement best practices for inventory control, including cycle counting, stock rotation, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and production, to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and coordinate shipments to meet customer requirements.
  • Evaluate warehouse layout and storage methods to optimize space utilization and workflow efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for warehouse staff.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and suppliers to negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency within the warehouse and logistics functions.
Qualifications
  • Minimum number 8-12 of experience in materials management, procurement, and logistics within a manufacturing environment, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control methods, logistics management principles, and ERP systems.
