Job summary

A logistics company based in Johor, Malaysia is seeking a logistics supervisor to oversee and coordinate logistics operations including transportation and delivery activities. The ideal candidate should have a diploma or degree in relevant fields and at least 2 years of experience in international logistics. Strong communication skills in English, Malay, and Mandarin are essential, as the role involves liaising with diverse clients. Additional requirements include familiarity with logistics systems and import/export procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of international logistics or international trade order tracking experience.
  • Familiar with import/export procedures, customs clearance, and Incoterms.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all logistics operations including inbound, outbound, and local delivery.
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor daily transportation, shipment, and delivery activities.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and flow of materials.
  • Prepare and review shipping documents such as invoices and packing lists.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders and customs agents for import/export.
  • Monitor logistics costs and seek efficiency improvements.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, production, and sales departments.
  • Handle logistics-related incidents like delays or damages.
  • Assist in managing SST exemption and compliance.
  • Maintain logistics records and delivery reports.
  • Train and guide logistics staff for compliance.

Job description

Supervise and coordinate all logistics operations including inbound, outbound, and local delivery.

Plan, schedule, and monitor daily transportation, shipment, and delivery activities.

Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers and smooth flow of incoming materials.

Prepare and review shipping documents (invoice, packing list, bill of lading, customs declaration, etc.).

Liaise with freight forwarders, transporters, and customs agents for import/export clearance.

Monitor logistics costs and seek opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

Coordinate closely with the warehouse, production, and sales departments on shipment schedules.

Handle logistics-related incidents, such as delays, damages, or customs issues.

Assist in managing and coordinating related to SST exemption, documentation, and compliance.

Maintain and update logistics records, delivery reports, and KPI tracking.

Train and guide logistics staff to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Perform any other duties as assigned by the leader.

Job requirements / Qualification

Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or international trade.

Minimum 2 years of international logistics or international trade order racking experience.

Familiar with import/export procedures and policy, customs clearance, and Incoterms.

Good organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

Proficient in logistics systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Strong communication skills in English, Malay and Mandarin as this roles will required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients and partners.
